MASON CITY – A wanted man was discovered as Department of Human Services employees were investigating a household in Mason City.
Cerro Gordo deputies and Mason City police were on the scene at 215 8th Street SE on the morning of August 17 to conduct a stand by while Department of Human Services employees were there investigating. Police discovered a wanted man, 22-year-old convicted felon James Dean Michelson, who had been wanted since June 30 for violating his parole in connection to a theft in Humboldt county.
Michelson remains held in the Cerro Gordo jail on no bond.
