Iowa man injured and charged after tractor rolls over on him

BREMER COUNTY – An Iowa man has been charged and is being investigated after his tractor rolled over on him.

On August 16th, 2015 at approximately 8:07 PM, the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a tractor that had rolled into the ditch at the intersection of 210th Street and Reed Avenue. The reporting party indicated that the driver of the tractor had his leg pinned under the tractor and was unable to get free.

Deputies responded and were able to identify the driver of the tractor as 35-year-old Joshua Rader of Sumner. Rader was able to be removed from under the tractor and was transported to Allen Hospital.

Rader was cited for failure to maintain control and additional charges are pending.

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Tripoli Ambulance, Tripoli Fire Department, Readlyn First Responders, and the Readlyn Fire Department.
