NIT – The National Transportation Safety Board has received a petition to re-open the February 3, 1959 plane crash that took the life of rock ‘n roll legend Buddy Holly as well as the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and their 21-year-old pilot Roger Peterson.
The crash has been blamed on the ill-fated decision to fly on a cold, dark, snowy night but mostly on the inexperience of the pilot, Peterson. The crash report says that Peterson didn’t have enough experience in reading the instruments in the plane and likely became disoriented before crashing the plane about 5 miles north of Clear Lake.
Some, however, apparently want Peterson’s name cleared and the investigation re-opened.
What do you think? Would it be a waste of time to look into the crash again?

Yes. Several years back during the Winter Dance Party I spoke with a pilot who flew with and certified the pilot who crashed the plane with Buddy Holly. He told me the guy was known as reckless and a risk taker, and that he had to take the test numerous times to pass. He also said the guy was known to abuse alcohol while he flew. It is probable the guy was partying with Buddy Holly or had been drinking. I think an investigation should be opened to set the facts straight.
As usual, the man that knows all the intimate details. Instead of investigating this they should just ask you instead peter.

Maybe, if they really do open up an investigation then the pilot I spoke to should most definitely offer his insight and testimony. It is very relevant. The premise of this reopening seems to be to clear the pilot’s name (probably at request of his family) but the exact opposite may in fact be true…that the pilot was MORE negligible than the family would like to believe. I’m not sure money should be spent on it though.
btw Evlis, I just aced my Food Handler’s Test. 34 out of 34 questions. I go to pick up the card this morning. I have my 3 and am ready to work wherever in a non gaming situation. If the FBI does a background check his drug convictions will show up and he will be denied again. Then we will have to hear all about how the FBI picked on the dopper.

Actually, someone should call the FBI on him. With his state of mind, he should never be allowed to carry a weapon. Who knows when he’s high or straight. Peter carrying a gun is a scary thought.

I’m going to also say; they most likely won’t be in any kind of a position where they will be armed and protecting anyone or anything. Guarding an empty coatroom would be about it.

I knew a girl once whose mother was a nurse at the hospital when buddy holly came in and she said that the pilot had cocaine in his system then I heard that buddy holly liked his candy bars laced with coke. I also heard that they were shot down by a UFO so just because you hear something doesn’t make it true. Leave it alone.

@Maybe-Old Philly is back on the funny stuff thinking he can pass a background check by the FBI. They will probably find him, arrest him and lock him away so he can’t threaten to shoot anyone. I think I will contact the FBI and let them know what they are dealing with. If it is true, which I doubt. The one consistent thing about Philly is he lies (all the time).
What I don’t understand is that if he thinks that he has a record why would he go to the FBI to find out. When they slap the cuffs on him and say you are under arrest that would be his first clue.
And if he’s truly working in Vegas at some casino, lie to them. Some henchman will show him the way things are done to liars in Vegas.

Kennedy was killed because he discovered a clandestine plot/plan to change the culture of America using the media and schools. As commencement speaker he told the 1962 graduating class at the University of Miami that he was going to use the pulpit to expose it.
He said he was not calling it a conspiracy but a plan that would fundamentally change our morals and values.
