MASON CITY – Police were called to Mercy Hospital Wednesday afternoon to deal with an intoxicated subject, who was taken to jail.
Officers with the Mason City police department responded to a complaint about an intoxicated female subject at about 2:54 PM on Tuesday, March 3. After an investigation, it was determined that Laura Ann Best, age 29, was under the influence and taken to jail. She was later released, pending a court date.
At this time, Best is facing a charge of felony third offense operating while intoxicated, after a December 20, 2014 arrest again by Mason City police. She awaits a jury trial on March 17.
