CHARLES CITY – A wanted domestic abuser was arrested by Charles City police on Christmas Eve.
On December 24, Charles City police conducted a traffic stop at 12:52 AM near South Jackson and Gilbert Street of a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Adam Pavlovec of Readlyn, Iowa. After an investigation, it was determined that Pavlovec was wanted on a warrant out of Howard county in connection to a domestic abuse case in which he took a plea deal to assault. Pavlovec had been wanted since September on the warrant. He had been ordered to pay $1,616.80 in fines and court fees but so far has paid just $50.00, records show.
Pavlovec must appear in court on January 15, 2015.
