Waterloo meth lab busted, small child removed from house

WATERLOO – A small child was removed from a meth house in Waterloo this week.

On October 1, 2014 Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputies received information of possible illegal drug activity at 502 Mobile Street in Waterloo. Deputies conducted an investigation and then applied for a search warrant from the Black Hawk County District Court.

The Search Warrant was granted and deputies searched the premises locating a methamphetamine lab in the basement of the residence. There was a small child in the residence. Deputies notified the Tri-County Drug Task Force.

Arrested and charged were three residents of the residence:

DONALD KEITH MINTEY
Donald Keith Mintey, age 40, charged with Conspiracy To Manufacture Methamphetamine and Child Endangerment.
Angela Rae Jensen, age 38, charged with Conspiracy To Manufacture Methamphetamine and Child Endangerment.
Angela Rae Jensen, age 38, charged with Conspiracy To Manufacture Methamphetamine and Child Endangerment.
Juddonnest Ernest Smith, age 24, charged with Failure To Appear Warrant on a charge of Assault Causing Injury.
Juddonnest Ernest Smith, age 24, charged with Failure To Appear Warrant on a charge of Assault Causing Injury.

The three subjects were transported to the Black Hawk County Jail and are innocent until proven guilty.
