MASON CITY – A teen who was arrested in recent days for throwing rocks from a bridge onto cars passing below has been arrested for theft.
Kyle Movick, age 14, was arrested Friday morning at about 9:32 AM at Mason City High School. Polcie told NIT he was charged with fourth degree for stealing an Ipad. He was arrested, booked, and released to DHS.
On September 15, police put a stop to a potentially life-threatening situation when three youths were throwing “large rocks” from a bridge onto passing cars below. Police immediately searched the area and were able to flush three juveniles out from the brush where they were detained near 9th and Elm Drive. The three juveniles caught were: Kyle Movick; Tucker Duckert (Age 14); and Leon Walker (Age 10). All three juveniles were charged with third degree criminal mischief, an aggravated misdemeanor, were booked that night and released to their parents.
Also following the rock throwing incident, on September 19 at 4:55 PM, Movick was reported as a missing person. He skipped school that Friday but had been seen in the Mason City area over next few days. He eventually was returned home.
