DAVENPORT – An Iowa woman was arrested after she allegedly bought heroin from a drug dealer with a child in her car.
According to reports, Amanda Rae Barrett, age 26, was arrested on the evening of September 3 in Davenport. Police told the Quad City Times that officers saw Barrett in a car with her 3-year-old daughter and then witnessed her buy heroin from the driver of the car. After she got out of the car, she was arrested.
Barrett was charged with aggravated misdemeanors of child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance. She was let free from jail 15 hours later when Lederman Bail Bonds posted $2,000 bond.
