COUNCIL BLUFFS – Iowa State Patrol troopers pursued a teen motorcyclist who refused to stop Monday evening before he was seriously injured after rolling his bike in an interstate median.
According to a report, on Monday evening at about 5:45 PM, 19-year-old Joshua Holmes of Omaha, Nebraska, was southbound on Interstate 29 in Pottawattamie County as troopers with the Iowa State Patrol pursued him. Holmes approved two semis who were side-by-side on the two-lane interstate, and Holmes attempted to pass on the inside shoulder but lost control of his motorcycle, sending him flying into the median as the bike flipped several times.
