Waterloo Police responded to a report of a man lying in the street in the 200 block of Jackson Street just before 2 AM Saturday morning, August 2, 2014. Responding officers found a victim who was later identified as 27-year-old Gary Wilson suffering from an injury to his abdominal area. Officers started CPR and Wilson was transported to Unity Point Allen Memorial Hospital by Waterloo Fire Rescue.
