North Iowa man refuses traffic stop before being caught

CLEAR LAKE – Another North Iowa man refused to stop for a law enforcement officer, this time early Monday morning, before being caught and arrested.

At about 4:14 AM, a Cerro Gordo deputy observed 24-year-old Joshua Reich of Manly driving a motor vehicle near the 2000 block of Highway 122 East, near Mason City. Reich is known to have a suspended drivers license. Reich apparently ditched the vehicle before fleeing on foot. Mason City police arrived to assist the deputy. Reich was eventually caught, arrested and charged with driving under suspension, no insurance and interference with official acts.

Reich was soon released from jail.
