Clear Lake man flees cops, held at gun point

CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake man fled police this weekend before being caught, and now faces several charges.

At about 5:30 PM on Saturday, May 31, a Clear Lake police officer observed a known wanted subject driving a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license near Dogwood Avenue and Highway 122. The officer attempted to stop 26-year-old Seth Arnold of Clear Lake, but he refused to stop. The vehicle he was driving was involved in an accident and went into the ditch. Arnold then took off on foot, but the officer chased him down and held him at gun point until a Cerro Gordo deputy arrived on the scene.

Arnold was arrested by officers and transported to Mercy ER to be checked out after the accident. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and interference with official acts. More charges are pending. Clear Lake police indicated they would have more information on this later Monday.
