MASON CITY – The Mason City School Board will meet Monday evening at 5:30 PM at the Administration Building and vote on a proposed agreement with the teacher’s union for a raise of 3.32%.
The tentative agreement with the Mason City Education Association (MCEA) is a two-year agreement. The estimated total package the first year is 3.32% with a $950 increase in the BA Base salary and a $1250 increase in the BA Base Salary for the second year. The MCEA ratified the tentative agreement on May 23, 2014.
Personnel reductions will be discussed. Resignations will be presented to the board. Contracts of staff who withdrew their request for a private hearing will be terminated. Some staff may be reinstated if the district needs them.
Other items, such as bids for dairy and bread products, Blue Zones and out-of-state trips will be discussed.
