Klemme man pleads guilty to felony sexual abuse

GARNER – A Klemme man was convicted of felony sexual abuse but his prison sentence was suspended.

Aaron Michael Peterson, 22, Klemme, pled guilty on January 28, 2014 to felony C sexual abuse in the third degree, stemming from an investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on June 7, 2013. Peterson was sentenced on March 25, 2014 to serve up to 10 years in prison and pay $1,350, plus court costs and attorney fees.

The 10 year prison sentence was suspended, and Peterson will be on probation for 5 years to the Department of Correctional Services. As part of his probation, Peterson will be placed a regional correctional facility for six months or until maximum benefits are achieved. He must complete the sex offender treatment program and register with the Iowa Sex Offender Registry. Peterson was also committed to the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections for lifetime parole.

Peterson was also found to be in violation of the terms of probation for the underlying charge of burglary in the third degree – a class D felony – stemming from an investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on August 31, 2011. Peterson’s deferred judgment was revoked, and he was sentenced to serve up to 5 years in prison and pay $843.75, plus court costs and attorney fees. The prison sentence was suspended, and Peterson will be on probation for 3 years to the Department of Correctional Services. As part of his probation, Peterson will be placed a regional correctional facility for six months or until maximum benefits are achieved.

What do you have to do to go to jail aroud here?
Oh, thats right, have 2 beers and drive home.

That and possess a drug. Then they can take your car and other assets.
