GARNER – A Forest City man pled guilty to domestic abuse assault on March 25, 2014.
According to the Hancock county attorney’s office, Joseph Dwight Kehm, age 33 of Forest City, pled guilty to domestic abuse assault, a serious misdemeanor stemming from an incident investigated by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on August 24, 2013.
Kehm was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail and pay $843.75, plus court costs and attorney fees. All but 2 days of the jail sentence were suspended, and Kehm will be on probation for 1 year to the Department of Correctional Services. He is also required to complete a 24-week batterer’s education program.
