MASON CITY – A three-vehicle accident occurred Wednesday morning in Mason City near Jefferson Elementary School, possibly leaving up to three people injured.
The incident occurred at about 8:34 AM. Mason City emergency responders were dispatched to a serious three vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 122 in front of Cabin Coffee, 1304 4th Street SE.
It was said that there were possibly three injuries and one may be a child, by hitting her face on the windshield.
At the scene, paramedics were examining the people and determining the extent of injuries.
The third vehicle in the chain reaction at the stoplight sustained the most damage, with the whole front end demolished.
Mason City police did not immediately respond to a request for information on the accident, as the investigation is likely on-going. NIT will report more when information becomes available.
