NIT – Two sisters of Iowa state Rep. Mary Wolfe were found shot to death Friday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Susan Wolfe, 44,  and Sarah Wolfe, 38, were roommates at a house they pair shared in a Pittsburgh suburb.  Both women were shot once in the head.  The bodies were discovered in the unfinished basement of the home, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Police haven’t identified a motive for the shootings and are asking for help or clues from the public in solving the crime at this time.

Mary Wolfe is Democrat from Clinton, Iowa, elected to the state legislature in 2010.  She has seven siblings.

Via social media, Rep. Wolfe said she is “heartbroken, but grateful” for “prayers and food and support” from “friends and neighbors and colleagues” over the past 24 hours.

“They were both incredible people, and we would like their friends and colleagues to know a little bit more about them and how much we appreciate their thoughts and wishes,” Wolfe told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
