HAMPTON – Volunteers from Wisconsin searched the Hampton area and Beeds Lake for man who has been missing since September 15, 2013.

According to Hampton Police Chief Robert Schaefer, on Friday, Keith and Jeremy Cormican, volunteers from the Search and Recovery organization called Bruce’s Legacy from Black River Falls, Wisconsin, searched Beeds Lake as well as several of the ponds in the area where Ethan

was last seen.

Chief Schaefer said that Bruce’s Legacy, which operates through the help of grants and donations, began its nonprofit work by assisting in the search for a missing college student in the Wisconsin Chippewa River this spring.

“The system they use is a L-3 Klein 3900 system which is an extremely high resolution digital sonar for use in Search & Recovery missions which require a portable side scan sonar system,” Chief Schaefer explained.

The volunteer team was assisted by the Hampton Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin County Emergency Management.

“Unfortunately nothing was uncovered in the search. I would ask that anyone with any information about Ethan’s whereabouts or his disappearance please come forward. Anyone with information should call the Hampton Police Department at 641-456-2529,” Chief Schaefer noted.
