MASON CITY – Mason City police officers were dispatched to a family disturbance between a father and son on March 31st at 1441 North Jefferson Avenue.
James Stricker, 39, and his son Scott, 18, were both arrested after police arrived at the residence.
According to Mason City police, a relative of Scott and James Stricker called police to the residence who had observed a heated, physical altercation between Scott Stricker and James Stricker. Alcohol was involved. Officers attempted to arrest James who resisted arrest and punched and kicked at multiple officers. Scott Strickerthen tried to interfere with the officers’ efforts to subdue and arrest James Stricker.
Both subjects were eventually arrested. James made several verbal threats to assault or harass the officers and also spit blood on one of the officer’s head and in the back of the squad car.
None of the officers were seriously hurt. Deputies did assist the PD officers at the scene in completing the arrests.
James Lee Stricker was charged with interference with official acts, harassment, assault on a peace officer, and two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer. Stricker posted $2,000 bond and was released from jail.
Scott Lee Stricker was charged with two counts of interference with official acts.
This dude is a fricken drunk, lookat his history and see how many times hes been arrested for assualt on a cop, intoxication, owis you name it this punk has done it. not 1 day in jail, must be a narc or gives the county attornee head.
