MASON CITY – North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Student Senate and College Entrepreneurial Organization (CEO) clubs sponsored a Thanksgiving Food Drive on campus from November 5 to November 9, with all items collected donated to the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank.
Students were also at Hy-Vee East, Fareway, and Hy-Vee West on Wednesday, November 7 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. to collect donations.
“We were overwhelmed by the generosity from students, faculty, staff and the community,” said Abbey Hall, Information Officer for the NIACC Student Senate. A total of 1243 pounds of food and $381.68 were collected.
