MASON CITY – Shortly after 6:00 am Friday morning, an early morning employee of Taco John’s reported a burglary.
The Mason City Police Department was dispatched to the location to investigate. Later Friday, Mason City police did not have more information but were discussing issuing a press release. It is assumed the incident is under investigation.
A call to Taco John’s restaurant Saturday morning confirmed that the establishment was indeed burglarized.
A Taco John’s manager, Mike, said that “I locked up about 1:30 AM and they got in about a quarter to 2.”
Mike said no employees were there but the burglars “got everything” without elaborating.
There are no alarms there is only cameras and he stole 6 grand from the safe pretty sneaky guy he has been doing it all down 35 from mn heading south

seems like an inside job most people just rob taco bell at gun point not break in for napkins and taco sauce.
How do they know when they got in? And yes I love tacos but I have an alibi! LOL
ummm… Mike is the manager and when the alarms go off, it either automatically calls Mike or the cops call Mike so they knew what time they broke in.
Damn South End-we need to just bulldoze it down.
