MASON CITY – The Annual Fall Craft Show was held Saturday at the North Iowa Events Center.

Jennifer Martin, Craft Show Promoter for the North Iowa Events Center, said, “We had two no call, no shows, but we still ended up with twenty-six vendors. We have quite the variety and they’re from all over Iowa and Minnesota. There’s tables of candles, wood items, crocheted scarfs, jewelry, photography, beauty control, books and more.”

Candi Patras, owner of Paras Block Lights out of Urbandale, said, “It’s a little slow right now, but hopefully it will pick up.” It was still early in show. “These Block Lights are great to personalize for wedding gifts, baby shower gifts, teacher or family gifts, Christmas gifts and make great night lights.”

“I put pictures of all my projects on my facebook page,” informed Jeannie Frazer, owner of J & M Designs, from Oelwein, Iowa. “I can design anything people want, from holidays, events, Harley Davidson, sports or hobbies.”  She can be found on facebook under her name.

“We are collecting canned goods for the Harvest Food Bank,” informed Martin. “We don’t charge people for the show, but we encourage them to bring a canned item to share.”

Chris and Julie Perry, along with their grandson, Aaron own Plan B Picture Frame Co. “We can print anything. Personalize anything. We have sports, family and friends, hobbies/interest/occupation, anniversary/wedding, graduation, hunting/fishing/wildlife and names. For $20 you get a 5×7 frame with the wooden front you pick, plus the glass and a matching refrigerator magnet,” explained Julie.

There was almost every subject or relationship you could think of there, along with most names. “If your name is here or spelled different, we can make it,” said Chris.

Angela Frayne, Independent Consultant for Pink Zebra, out of Clear Lake, was at the craft show, showing her candles, sprinkles, soaps and lotions. “Vanilla Spice is the scent of the month,” said Frayne. There were 48 different fragrances for just the sprinkles. The sprinkles are super concentrated levels of high quality fragrance oils and premium Soft Soy wax blended together. You can mix any together and make a “Uniquely Yours” fragrant and name it as you wish. (Hear more about Pink Zebra on the video.)

These are just a few samples of what the craft show had to offer.

Martin will also be in charge of the December 8th, Toys for Tots Craft Show. “If anyone would like to participate, please contact me. My email is crosby@netins.net.”
