SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
Parkersburg, IOWA — A former teacher with the Aplington-Parkersburg School District was arrested today. Ashley Anderson, 24 years, of Ackley, Iowa was charged with four counts of Sexual Exploitation by a School Employee (Class D Felony).
Official court records show that Anderson admitted to engaging in sexual misconduct with four different student victims aged 16-18 during the 2011-2012 school year.
Anderson turned herself into the Butler County Sheriff’s Office today, Friday, October 19, 2012 at approximately 12:30 PM. She was booked and then released after posting bond.
Anderson was employed with the Aplington-Parkersburg Community School District from 2010 to 2012. She taught high school math classes before resigning her position in the Fall of 2012.
I know this teacher, and happen to know that she had a great husband. Before you people start making comments, think about the lives that have been affected by this. I do agree if the genders were switched they would be calling for the teachers head. She should pay for what she has done. Lets just hope she gets the help that she needs.
I am going to have to agree there are no victims here. If it is true one boy contacted an STD than I could maybe see him being called one…..but otherwise, you get teenage boys blasting with testosterone and hormones going crazy. You combine that with an attractive young female who is willing and able….they were loving every second of it. Extremely stupid on the part of the teacher, though. It isn’t like she fell in love….she was making her rounds!!! She just ruined her life.

I went to college and graduated with this young lady. She was always super nice, had a steady boyfriend, really smart, and disciplined. Makes you wonder what happened after only a year out of college.
Parkersburg graduate here: back in the day we had a “nice” art teacher and spanish teacher with rumours. I also know a girl from wellsburg that had teacher sex for a better grade.
I know of a couple girls that lost there virginity
to male teachers in high school, they just didnot brag about it.

I just don’t get it. Spend all that time in school to get a degree and throw it all away. She will never be a teacher again. Have fun paying your student loans with a minimum wage job. Or better yet the few cents you should be making being in prison. If she was a man doing this with girls ir would be treated so much different!

I sure wish I had had her for a teacher when I was in school. I would never have turned her in. I can guarantee you that she did not take advantage of those boys. They loved it.
We turned her in after our son was diagnosed with syphilis.

I was actually in school with her and in alot of her classes. Never ever did i think this would happen
Come on people, if the sex of the teacher and the students were turned around you would not be joking about it so much. She is “allegedly” a sexual predator and now has to deal with her actions. You know it’s not really so much the age difference because it is not that distant but the fact that she was an authority figure and she betrayed the trust people put in teachers when they send their children to school. For that she desreves everything she gets.
Take advantage of these kids????? You have got to be kidding me, they loved every minute of it and you know it.
