MASON CITY – Mason City’s Trinity Lutheran Church is renovating its courtyard to include a prayer labyrinth.
The meditative prayer tool will include a maze to walk and a small pavilion with a symbol of the Trinity built into the brickwork in the center.
Outdoor services will be held in the area from Memorial Day to Labor Day according to Pastor Dan Gerrietts.
The concept has been in the works for years, and was recently made possible by funds from a capital campaign which will also be used for the restoration of the church’s stained glass windows.
What a beautiful idea. Cannot wait until finished.
In viewing this site today I thought of how much local content is on here with color photos, interview videos and actual news that is interesting and so very current. The links to state and national news are great too. So far so good….this site is evolving into quite the news service.
