CLEAR LAKE – A “Summer Fishing Day” will be held on Wednesday, August 22 from 9 a.m. – Noon at Blue-bill Lake.
This outing is for families of all ranges of fishing skills and abilities. Participants will learn how to tie a knot, how to identify fish, what baits work best, how to take a fish off the hook, and how to filet and cook fish. Fishing equipment will be provided for those that need it. No prior fishing experience is necessary and experienced volunteers will be present to assist beginners.
A hot dog and marshmallow roast over a campfire will be provided for lunch. Anyone 16 or older must have an Iowa fishing license if they plan to fish. There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. Call 423-5309 to register or for more information.
