Volunteer opportunities available at “Victory Office”

MASON CITY – The Republican Party or “Victory Office” in Mason City has volunteer opportunities available.

The office opened up last week in preparation for the November elections, featuring the race for president and a hotly-contested race for the new fourth congressional district seat, among others.

“Thanks to everybody who came to the opening of the Mason City Victory Office!” said Martha Gravlee, who is running the office.  “I loved seeing what fantastic support Republican candidates have.”

Gravlee said volunteer opportunities await those who are interested.

“I’m so excited to say that the office is up and running! We will be knocking on doors throughout Mason City and surrounding areas and making calls for Governor Romney and Rep. King until November,” she said.

Volunteers can make calls from the office’s “phone bank.”

Available call shifts are:

Monday-Saturday, 9 am – noon, noon – 3 pm, 3 pm – 6 pm and 6 pm – 8:30 pm.

If you are more of a door-knocker, Gravlee says you can stop by the office for a “brief training, and then we’ll hit the payment to drum up support for our candidates!”

Yard signs are also available at the office, located at 1314 4th st SW suite 204.

You can sign up by e-mailing mgravlee@iowagop.org or calling 641-210-9907.
