LAKE MILLS, IOWA – On Friday, October 7th, Lake Mills Police arrested Carl Mikkel Shayne Sundberg, age 20, on one felony count of burglary in the 2nd degree, 11 aggravated misdemeanor counts of burglary 3rd degree of an unoccupied motor vehicle, one serious misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance and one simple misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carl Sandberg was booked into the Winnebago County Jail shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday, where he remains on bond. Court records show he made an appearance in Winnebago County District Court on Monday October 10th and requested council. A preliminary hearing has been set for October 17th at 10:30.
Burglary in the 2nd Degree is a class C felony and carries up to a ten year prison sentence if convicted. Burglary in the 3rd Degree is an aggravated misdemeanor is punishable by up to two years in prison. Possession of a controlled substance is a serious misdemeanor and is punishable by up to one year in prison.
