The North Iowa Fair Association, represented by Fair Association Board of Directors President Dennis Higgins, presented a check to the City of Mason City for $19,580.38 to pay a past due water bill. The fair had been on a 30-month payment plan to get caught up.
“This payment is the result of the combined efforts of the Kinney Lindstrom Foundation, Mason City Youth hockey and the North Iowa Fair Association,” Higgins said.
The fairgrounds recently had new water meters installed that would better track the actual amount of water the fairgrounds uses each month. The new water meters should help save the fair money each month.|
