Floyd County Sheriff’s Department and Iowa State Patrol responded to a snowmobile accident Saturday December 18th at noon.
Cory Mutch, age 31, was riding a 2006 Arctic Cat snowmobile with a group of snowmobilers that were northbound on Highway 218 in the median when Mutch hit a culvert that was covered by snow. The collision caused the snowmobile and driver to go airborne. According to the Iowa State Patrol report, the snowmobile landed 25 feet later and the driver 75 feet later.
Mutch was transported to Mercy Hospital in Mason City.|
