MASON CITY – A counterfeit bill may have been passed at a local convenience store, and police are investigating.

The incident was reported on September 29, 2010. An employee reported a possible counterfeit five dollar bill and was advised to take it (the bill) to the bank to be sure. The employee reported the license plate the unknown male subject was driving.

Address involved was 2771 4th St SW, Mason City, which upon an internet search was revealed as Willow Mart.|
