MASON CITY – Rumors are swirling in the community that some of the work done already on the Streetscape project in downtown Mason City may have to be tore out and re-started, setting the project even farther back. Evidently, the storm sewer at 1st and North Federal is too high for the comfort station (bus station) to drain into. Also, we understand that the base of the lights (footings) already installed might not be able to handle the weight load.
