Carrie was born May 27, 1958, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Neil and Loretta (Stein) Koeppen. She graduated from Lytton High School and continued her education at Spencer School of Business.

Her working life included 28 years at Plumb Supply Co., a long chapter of service alongside the family relationships and interests she valued outside work.

On May 20, 1989, Carrie married Brian McKigney. They enjoyed attending concerts, going out for meals and gathering around campfires. Their screen house offered another place to spend time together.

Above all, Carrie treasured being with her family. She had also been a member of St. Joseph Parish since 1993.

She is survived by her husband, Brian; her brother, Curtis Koeppen; nephews Kolten, Carter and Carson; grandnephew Krue; and in-laws Bernard, Dorothy and Colleen.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Loretta Koeppen; her brother, Arnie; her grandparents; aunts and uncles; brother-in-law Ron; sister-in-law Mary Lou; and parents-in-law William and Lucille McKigney.

Family and friends may share condolences and memories through Carrie’s obituary at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.
