MASON CITY — Actor and entertainer Tony Danza will bring a blend of classic American music, personal stories, comedy, tap dancing and ukulele playing to North Iowa this fall.
Danza and his four-piece band will present Tony Danza: Standards & Stories at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus.
The performance is part of the 2026-2027 NIACC Performing Arts and Leadership Series.
The live show features selections from the Great American Songbook woven together with stories from Danza’s life and more than four decades in entertainment. His performances have drawn praise for combining old-fashioned showmanship with an easygoing connection to audiences.
Danza is best known for starring in two of television’s most popular and enduring comedies, Taxi and Who’s the Boss?
He has also appeared in films including Angels in the Outfield, She’s Out of Control, The Hollywood Knights and Don Jon.
His stage career includes Broadway appearances in The Producers, A View from the Bridge and the musical comedy Honeymoon in Vegas.
Danza received an Emmy nomination for a guest appearance on The Practice and has appeared on television programs including Blue Bloods, Broad City, The Good Cop, There’s… Johnny!, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and And Just Like That…
His more recent screen work also includes the Hulu film Darby and the Dead and a voice role in Paramount’s animated feature Rumble.
