ST. ANSGAR — Bonnie Lou Nichols, 76, of St. Ansgar, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Saint Marys Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.
Bonnie was born Oct. 28, 1949, in Osage, the daughter of Henry and Ann Marie (Maertens) Lievrouw. She was the youngest of four children and graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1966.
According to her obituary, Bonnie spent many years caring for others while working at the St. Ansgar nursing home before retiring.
She found happiness in the simple comforts of home. Bonnie especially loved animals, particularly her cats, and enjoyed spending quiet days watching her favorite television programs and listening to music.
Her obituary notes that Bonnie’s faith in angels was a constant source of comfort and strength throughout her life.
Bonnie also became well known for the heartfelt memorials she created on the Find a Grave website. Through those tributes, she honored the memories of family members, friends and countless others, leaving a lasting record of their lives for future generations.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Anderson of Rochester, Minnesota; brothers Ronald (Kathleen) Lievrouw and Terry (Theresa) Lievrouw; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many extended family members and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husbands, Harley Dean Anderson and Jerry Gordon Nichols; her son, Kameron Dean Anderson; her parents, Henry and Ann Lievrouw; and her brother, George Lievrouw.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at St. Ansgar Cemetery in St. Ansgar.
