Suzy Lyn Eichmeier was born on June 18, 1962 to John and Olive (Ingebritson) Quasdorf in Hampton, Iowa. She graduated from Dows High School and continued her education at Buena Vista University. Suzy was united in marriage to Randy Eichmeier on June 18, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
Suzy worked in the nursing home administration field for many years with Care Initiatives where she formed lasting connections and truly enjoyed her co-workers and client families.
She loved her work and excelled at it, but nothing meant more to her than surrounding herself with family and friends and especially her grandkids. She will always be lovingly remembered as the “Hostess with the mostest” and her massive amounts of pickle wraps she made for every get-together or when cheering on the Hawkeyes. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, adventure and the love of music, sharing her gift as a pianist that brought joy to the hearts of anyone listening. Suzy cherished the sun-drenched cruises in their Camero with Randy or taking walks under the palm trees and watching the sunset on their many trips to Laughlin.
Suzy is deeply missed by her husband, Randy Eichmeier of Ackley, Iowa; children, Ashley (Adam Pralle) Claussen of Ackley, Iowa, Amanda (Sam) Keninger of Pocatello, Idaho and Evan Eichmeier of Ackley, Iowa; grandchildren: Marshall, Zach, Ivy, Alex, Ben, Jillian and Ashleigh. Suzy is also survived by her siblings, Orville Quasdorf of Wyoming, Mary Graff of Geneva, Iowa, Jim Quasdorf of Hampton, Iowa and Don Quasdorf of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Diane and Joanne, as well as many close friends and family.
