Greg Malmstrom, 89, of Webster City died Monday, April 13, 2026 at Van Diest Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 at Asbury United Methodist Church.

Greg Malmstrom, 89, of Webster City died Monday, April 13, 2026 at Van Diest Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 at Asbury United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family requests no flowers, and memorials may be given directly to family. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Greg and his family.

Gregory Bruce Malmstrom, son of Raymond and Marion (Moe) Malmstrom, was born March 12, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Sioux City Central in 1955 and went on to attend Iowa State University. On November 15, 1959, Greg was united in marriage to Janice Carpenter at Langdon, Iowa. Greg worked was the public works director for Webster City and also a land surveyor.

He is survived by his wife, Jan of Webster City; daughters, Janine Sharar and Jill (Keith) Thomason both of Webster City and grandchildren, Amanda, Daniel and Abbie.

Greg was preceded in death by his son, Bruce; his parents and son-in-law, Donald Sharar.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge #176. He enjoyed wintering in Texas with his wife and was a past president of Webster City Cruisers where he enjoyed many old cars.
