Judy M. Oltrogge, 69, of Maynard, Iowa, died Saturday evening, January 31, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard with Rev. Randy Baldwin officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard and for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in her name to Gundersen Lutheran Cancer Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin or Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospice.

Judy Marie Peterson was born May 8, 1956, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Paul William and Delpha June (Duede) Peterson. She graduated from Oelwein High School in Oelwein, Iowa. On October 16, 1976, she was united in marriage to Dennis Paul Oltrogge at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. For over 20 years, Judy was employed with Gundersen Medical Center. Judy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard. She enjoyed quilting every Tuesday, spending time at their place on the river, boating, traveling with “Louise” (aka, Cheryl) and spending time with her family and friends. Judy cherished her family. She will be remembered for the unconditional love she had for all of them.

Judy is survived by her husband: Dennis Oltrogge of Maynard; daughter: Nicole (Lloyd) Haas of Dakota, Minnesota; son: Cory (Kris) Oltrogge of Holly Springs, North Carolina; grandchildren: Braiden Decker, Owen Haas, Kalyn Oltrogge and Myelle Oltrogge; brother: Dan (Kris) Peterson of Bettendorf; sisters-in-law: Beth Bachman of Waverly and Cheryl Melchert of Maynard; many nieces and nephews; and her dog: Chloe.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Delpha Peterson; stepmother: Phyllis Peterson; parents-in-law: Edgar and Hulda Oltrogge; brothers-in-law: Wayne Bachman and David Melchert.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Home Health and Hospice for taking such good care of Judy in her last days, Gundersen Medical Center for their care and support through her various battles with cancer and all the friends and family that were her biggest cheerleaders.
