AMES – Iowa State faced off with nemesis Arizona State Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames in front of 60,899 fans and was frustrated by the Sun Devils’ back quarterback who ran wild on the Cyclone defense.
Arizona State leads the all-time series 2-0, with the only previous meeting coming in last year’s
Big 12 Championship game, a 45-19 loss.
Matt Campbell is now 69-55 at Iowa State and 104-70 overall as a head coach.
The Cyclones have not been shutout for 186 games, a streak that dates back to 2010.
Iowa State is 21-10 in their last 31 games.
ISU QB Rocco Becht completed 18 of 36 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Iowa State has now lost 4 straight games.
The Cyclones have had 90-straight games, going back to 2011, with 50,000 or more fans at Jack
Trice Stadium.
Since the start of the 2021 season, ISU has allowed just 539 points in the second half of its
