Alan Edgar Gage, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother died on September 20, 2025.
He was born in Mason City, Iowa, to Edgar and Mildred Gage, attended Mason City High School (1959) and served in the US Air Force (1961-1965). Upon completion of his service, he obtained his engineering degree at Iowa State University (1968) and then married his wife Judy at the First Baptist Church in Mason City.
Alan (Al) built a career and life in Seattle, WA, where he worked as a professional civil engineer for Washington State Department of Transportation, Snohomish County Public Works, TranTech Engineering, and David Evans and Associates. He was an active member in his church community, a member of the Choir of the Sound for 30 years and served with the American Legion Unit #134 in Burien, WA. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith Gage, brother Jon Gage, son Jeremy Gage (Turi Kim), daughters Jessica Gage (Bert Cox), Melinda Webb, and Meridith Gage (Ariel Balderas),13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be missed.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am-10:30 am Saturday at Fullerton Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Bringman, of First Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to gather at the First Baptist Church after the service. A celebration of life will be held in Seattle at a later date.
