Linda Lea (Merritt) Fites, 87, of Manly, Iowa, died Sunday, October 5th 2025 at the Manly Care Center.
Linda Lea Merritt was born March 14, 1938 in Mason City, the daughter of Maurice and Grace Merritt. On September 16, 1956 she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Fites, to this union two sons were born, Thomas M. Fites and Barry L. Fites. Linda was an Air Force nurse and worked many years at AC Nielsen in Mason City.
She is survived by sons Thomas M. (Marilyn) Fites of Mason City, IA and Barry L. (Debbie) Fites of Plymouth, IA. three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her sister Judy (Bob) Treloar of Vero Beach, FL and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Grace Merritt, her husband Thomas E. Fites. In-laws Vincent and Virginia LaPlount.
