Alice “Jean” Inghram, 88, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Promise House in Hiawatha, Iowa. Memorial Service will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.

Alice “Jean” Inghram, 88, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Promise House in Hiawatha, Iowa.

Memorial Service will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, Iowa with Mark Doebel officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests memorials be directed to the Habitat for Humanity in Mason City, or the Humane Society of North Iowa.

Jean was born on December 11, 1936, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Leslie and Alice (Krueger) Stehlik. She graduated from Austin High School in 1954. In her early years, she worked at various banks as well as Sears, building a reputation for her dedication and friendly nature. Later, she began volunteering at the Mercy Hospital Gift Shop, which she did for over 46 years, culminating with her receiving the “Governor’s Volunteer Award” from Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds on June 21, 2018, for her 15,000+ hours of service, along with participation on the auxiliary board, courtesy cart and numerous special projects.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved crafting, especially ceramics, quilting, and needlepoint. She had many close friendships she maintained throughout her life, no matter the distance or time apart.

Those left to cherish memories of Jean are her husband of nearly 55 years, Frank Inghram; children, Bill (Jodie) Kruger of Westford, MA, Julie (Heath Davis) Kruger of Iowa City, IA, and Michael Inghram of Rifle, CO; grandchildren, Kyra Kruger, Jon Kruger, Hannah Kruger, Justin Inghram, and William Inghram; brother, Robert (Vianne) Stehlik of Eden Prairie, MN; sister-in-law, Jerilee Inghram of Iowa City, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Jim Inghram.
