Brandon Stalpes, 40 of Humboldt, passed away on August 10, 2025 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 18, at Lentz Funeral Home in Humboldt. Service will be livestreamed via Lentz Funeral Home’s website: https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/brandon-stalpes. Visitation will be from 4:30 PM until the time of service at Lentz Funeral Home in Humboldt on Monday. Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Lentz Funeral Home of Humboldt is serving the family.
Brandon Lee Stalpes, the son of Steve and Pam (Felker) Stalpes, was born on August 20, 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 2003. Brandon received a Culinary Arts degree and Bio Technology degree from Iowa Central Community College. He was in the process of receiving a degree in Cyber Security from SNHU. Brandon served in the Army National Guard and was activated to serve in Afghanistan and later in Kosovo. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
On September 23, 2024 Brandon married Merry Robinson in Steamboat Springs, CO. He had worked as a Chef for various resorts and restaurant’s. Brandon enjoyed RC cars and running them through the mountains, snowmobiling, exotic pets and playing his drums. He had a four foot Iguana named Brutus that he almost loved more than most people.
Left to cherish Brandon’s memory is his wife, Merry Stalpes of Humboldt; children, Anthony, Makayla and Dylan Stalpes of Humboldt, Jaxon and Archer Stalpes of Eagle Grove and Isabella Stalpes of Humboldt; his parents, Pam and Steve Stalpes of Humboldt; sisters, Stephanie (Kyle) Droster of Pikeville, TN, Shauna (Nick) Ferry of Humboldt and Dani (Jordan) Buhs of Arcadia; and grandparents, Joe and Linda Felker of Humboldt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Jackie Stalpes and uncles, Joe Felker and Arnie Pomeroy.
