Dawn Marie Ingersoll of Clear Lake passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Clarion after a courageous 10-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was 69 years old.
Dawn was born Nov. 1, 1955, in Mason City alongside her twin sister, Diane, to Ronald and Gretchen (Genson) Olson. Dawn attended Mason City Community Schools and graduated in 1974 from Mason City High School. After graduation she began her career at Marshall & Swift, later working for Unisys until its closure. She then spent several years at Graham Manufacturing as a forklift operator, retiring when her health began to decline.
In her younger years Dawn loved roller skating and spent much of her free time enjoying the outdoors. She had a passion for bowling, golfing, and fishing.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Ingersoll; her mother, Gretchen Olson; her twin sister, Diane (Olson) Kopps and her husband, Jeff Kopps; her in-laws, Lyn Ingersoll and her husband, Marc Rosenbaum, Doug and Diane Ingersoll, and Kathy (Ingersoll) and Brad Arends; her nieces and nephews, Emily (Rosenbaum) and Eric Kahn, Katie Ingersoll and her wife, Julie Tozer, Robert Rosenbaum and his wife, Asya Troychansky, and Drew Arends; along with five great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Olson, and her mother- and father-in-law, Shirley and Crosby Ingersoll.
The family will hold a celebration of Dawn’s life later in the spring. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the staff at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center, 110 13th Avenue SW, Clarion, IA 50525, in honor of their dedicated care of Dawn over the last few years.
