The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in special session pursuant to adjournment at
9:15 a.m. Present: Chairman Chris Watts, Vice Chairman Casey Callanan (via phone), Supervisor Carl Ginapp, and
various members of the public.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss another county’s request to utilize Cerro Gordo County’s fine collection software and to review the process and posting of Board of Supervisors meeting recordings.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
Various tabulations, reports, correspondence and other documents that were presented at today’s meeting are
placed on file with the supplemental minutes.

The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present:
Chairman Chris Watts, Vice Chairman Casey Callanan (via phone), Supervisor Carl Ginapp, and various members of the public.
Chairman Watts convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to approve today’s agenda and the minutes for the March 31, 2025 regular session and the March 31, 2025 special session.
Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve claims. Motion passed unanimously.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to authorize Bolton + Menk to conduct field review on the following
drainage district:
Work Order Number 2025-04-03-01
Drainage District: 6/56

Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve the Recorder’s Quarterly Report of Fees and the Auditor’s
Quarterly Report of Fees. Motion passed unanimously.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to approve the Sheriff’s Monthly Report of Fees. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to abate taxes on parcel 07-10-112-003-00 in the amount of $7,756.
Motion passed unanimously.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to approve dock permits 51P and 59P. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve reports from the Environmental Health Service Manager concerning Manure Management Plan Update for Shell Rock Valley Landscapes, LLC (site #59213) and forward to the DNR. Motion passed unanimously.
County Engineer Billings provided an update.
The Board went into recess at 10:08 a.m.
The Board reconvened at 10:30 a.m.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to go into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(c) to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation at 10:30 a.m. Roll call vote: Callanan – Aye; Ginapp – Aye; Watts – Aye. Motion passed unanimously.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to come out of closed session at 11:01 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
