Mary was born August 17, 1946 in Houston, Texas, daughter of Joseph and Beatrice Walker. After graduating high school, she began her career as a certified nursing assistant. She worked in various facilities for over 30 years. She was united in marriage to Victor “Vic” Boehmer March 7, 1969.
Mary was a dedicated wife and mother. She worked hard to provide a loving home for her family. She was a beacon of love and laughter. Her passion for life was as vibrant as the melodies of Elvis Presley, whose music she adored. Mary found joy in the simple pleasures, like settling in to watch a classic western or adding a new cuddly stuffed bear to her cherished collection.
A pillar of her community, Mary devoted herself to the fellowship and service of her church groups. Her hands and heart were always busy, especially when she gathered with the Bethany Lutheran quilting club. Mary will be remembered for her loving nature, her quick wit that could light up any room, and the passionate energy she poured into every aspect of her life.
