NIACC men’s basketball team ranked 20th in national poll

MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team is ranked No. 20 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday. The Trojans (14-5 overall, 6-3 in the ICCAC) picked up a pair of wins last week.

MASON CITY – The NIACC men’s basketball team is ranked No. 20 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Tuesday.
The Trojans (14-5 overall, 6-3 in the ICCAC) picked up a pair of wins last week over Western Iowa Tech (73-70) and the Waldorf University Junior Varsity (117-84).

It is the first time the Trojans have been ranked since the Jan. 18, 2022 poll when they were also 20th.

North Central Missouri College (18-0) is ranked No. 1. Kirkwood (18-1) is ranked second.

DMACC (18-2) is ranked sixth and Ellsworth (15-5) is ranked 12th.

NIACC returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC contest at Southwestern CC. Game time in Creston is slated for 7:30 p.m.
