James A. Wulfekuhle, 58, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, following a brief illness at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette with Rev. Ralph Davis celebrating. Inurnment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Cemetery, rural Fayette. Visitation will precede the Mass on Saturday starting at 9:00 AM.
James Allen, son of David and Margaret “Peg” (Power) Wulfekule was born February 13, 1966, in West Union, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fayette. Jim graduated from Fayette High School in 1984 and continued his education at the University of Iowa and Loras College. He served honorably in the United States Army National Guard for three years. On June 22, 1995, he was united in marriage with Veena Patel in India. To this union two children were born, Vijay and Rekha. Jim worked in Atlanta for much of his professional career as a V.P. for PIAG and IWF. Following a successful career in the business world, he retired in 2019. Jim served in an advisory role on many boards. He enjoyed traveling, deep sea fishing, baking, and golf.
Jim is survived by his wife, Veena; two children, Vijay and Rekha; brothers, Tim (Nancy) Wulfekuhle, Steve Wulfekuhle, Patrick (Gina) Wulfekuhle and six nephews; two nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Mark; and several aunts and uncles.
