IOWA CITY – Taylor Stremlow netted a career-high nine points, four rebounds, three steals, and two assists as Iowa steamrolled th Boilermakers of Purdue, 84-63, Sunday inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Lucy Olsen and Sydney Affolter tied for a team-high six assists.
Addi O’Grady had a team-best 12 points.
Seven Hawkeyes had seven or more points.
Ava Heiden led Iowa with eight rebounds. Heiden was a perfect 4-of-4 from the field.
Affolter finished today’s game with nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Iowa is 38-2 inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena over the past three seasons. Iowa has won 19 in a row on its home floor. Carver-Hawkeye Arena has been sold out for 28 consecutive games, the longest active streak nationally. The Hawkeyes are 123-16 in Iowa City dating back to Nov. 11, 2016.
Iowa is 56-19 in Big Ten play over the last four seasons.
The Hawkeyes have won nine straight against Purdue.
With the win, Iowa tied the all-time series, 40-40.
Iowa closed the first half on a 15-3 run and making six of its last eight from the field.
In the first half, the Hawkeyes outscored the Boilers, 30-10 in the paint.
The Hawkeyes also closed the third quarter on a 13-0 run.
For the first time this season, Iowa has recorded back-to-back outings of 20+ assists.
O’Grady has been in double figures in 10 games after having just two total games scoring in double figures over her previous two seasons.
UI is 74-24 when recording 20+ assists in a single game since the beginning of the 2020-21 season.
