Lori was born April 6, 1971 in Mason City; daughter of Robert “Bob” Holt and Linda (Hambly) King. She graduated from Mason City High School with the class of 1989. For over a decade she worked and managed Casey’s Convenience Store in Mason City. Lori was united in marriage to Stephen Whitney January 14, 1998.

Lori looked forward to her yearly trips; fishing at Devil’s Lake in North Dakota with her dad and sister and shopping trips with her mom and sister as well. She and the family loved almost weekly camping trips when the weather was right and plenty of times when it wasn’t. Lori and Stephen would take one weekend to themselves every year to celebrate their anniversary and Valentine’s day. They cherished their many moments together, each one special in its own way.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Stephen; parents, Bob Holt and Linda (Jack) King; children, Chelse, Chayse, and Starr; brother-in-law, Tim Whitney; sisters-in-law, Wendy (Jeff) Ewing, and Monica Teeter; sister, Tammy (Dennis) Fender; step-siblings, David King, Jeff King, and Debbie King; grandchildren, AJ, Amirra, Deshaun, Ashtyn; and beloved cat, Athena.

She was preceded in death by grandparents: John and Mona Holt, Lola and Glen Hambly; and parents-in-law, Jerry and Erika Whitney.
