Susan Jennifer Rohlfs was born on August 2, 1959 in Rochester, MN, and was adopted by parents Herb and Ruth (Lux) Bertram. Sue grew up in South Minneapolis, where she enjoyed being in Girl Scouts at a young age. The family moved to Brooklyn Park in 1972, and she attended Annunciation Catholic School from 1st-7th grade before going to Osseo Sr. High School with the class of 1977.

On May 26, 1994, she married Gerald Rohlfs in Forest City, IA. The couple met 10 years prior, on Halloween evening in 1984, and the rest is history!

Sue worked for over 10 years at North Central Human Services, now Krysilis as a Home Manager. She continued to stay on as an advocate and guardian for many years following her employment. Sue cared for everyone, as it clearly showed in her work, and her life at home. Family was the most important thing to Sue, and many people quickly became her family, even if they were not related by blood. Sue enjoyed camping and vacations with her family, online shopping, and diamond painting. She has always been loyal, generous, loving, caring, and even tolerant with all of the shenanigans that her children put her through in their younger years!

She is preceded in death by her fathers, Herbert and Ole and mothers, Ruth and Delores; son, Mark; and a sister, Sherri.

Surviving members of her family include her husband of 30 years, Jerry Rohlfs; children, Mistie (Kevin) Johnson, Dusty Rohlfs, Robyn (Rich) Onken, Lisa (Charlie) Van Overbeke, and Heather (Greg) Volmer; grandchildren, Travis, Zac (Selena), Josh (Kati), Kevin (Megan), Rachel (Nate), Jordan (Cheyenne), Tanner (Faith), Anthony, Genevieve (Colin), Karagyn, Mark, Troy, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Odin, Isla, JoJo, Bear, Daphne, Keegan, Dawson, Charley, Vivienne, and Savannah; brothers, Chris (Linda) and Jim (Jessica); as well as many extended relatives and friends that she brought into the family with her big heart.
